Grow Food Northampton is hosting monthly farmers markets at the Northampton Senior Center this winter,…
The Northampton Senior FarmShare Program offers affordable farm shares to low-income senior citizens of the City of Northampton. During ten weeks of the summer, participants receive a one-person, weekly share of freshly harvested vegetables with a total value of over $100 for just $10 ($1 per week). The vegetables are grown at Crimson & Clover Farm in Florence. Shares will be available for pickup on Tuesdays, 2-3pm, at the Northampton Senior Center from July 5 to September 6, 2016.
Application deadline: June 17, 2016. The $10.00 Fee (CASH ONLY) must accompany the application. We expect to enroll all applicants, but reserve the right to limit participation to the first 70. If you have questions, please call Michele at 413-587-1226 or Clem at 413-320-4799×101. Please return this form to: Michele Dihlmann, Northampton Senior Center, 67 Conz Street, Northampton, MA 01060.
The program is operated by Grow Food Northampton in collaboration with Crimson & Clover Farm and the Northampton Senior Center, with support from the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation and CISA. CISA also operates a Senior Farm Share program in other communities in the Pioneer Valley.
