Wild Bees in the Garden: Biology, Habitat Needs and Identification
June 6 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Pollinators are incredibly important for many of our most nutritious crop plants. Gardeners can contribute to pollinator conservation through practices that provide safe habitat.
Join Jules Davis (UMass Amherst and Xerces Society Ambassador, and fellow community gardener) for a discussion on wild bee biology and simple actions you can take to help support them. Jules will also lead a walk through the garden to demonstrate identification of some common bee species you are likely to observe while working in your plot this summer. The Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation is an international nonprofit organization that protects the natural world through the conservation of invertebrates and their habitats.
