FarmFest is back after a 3-year hiatus! FarmFest 2015, from 12-4 pm on Sunday, October 25, celebrates the close of the fifth harvest season at the 120-acre Northampton Community Farm in Florence. Features include food trucks using local ingredients, local beer and hard cider, cider slushies, local live music, veggie slingshot, pumpkin painting, goats and pigs, horse-drawn wagon rides, walking tours, educational activities, and more. The event will be centered at Crimson & Clover Farm, with parking at the Florence Fields Recreation Area on Meadow Street, and welcomes the entire community to see the progress made by the farmers who lease land at the community farm, and at the 275-plot Organic Community Garden.
While the event itself is free, tickets will be sold for some activities, food and drink, and a raffle. Funds raised will support Grow Food Northampton, helping to ensure that everyone in our community has access to healthy, local food. All the details will be here very soon, and we will be selling ticket packages online as well.
