Mumat Aweys got involved with farming in 2021 when he moved to Massachusetts from Texas. His mother cultivates vegetables at the Grow Food Northampton Community Farm alongside other Somali Bantu farmers. He has been growing with her since. Mumat works with All Farmers, Inc. as Co-Director, Communities and Markets.
