NFCFC started about 3 years ago. It encompasses a group of Somali Bantu farmers from Springfield and Connecticut. Farmers are refugees from Somalia. They mainly grow: corn, collard greens, water melon, squash, peppers, onions, etc. But, we plan to grow more verity of vegetables and fruits that are popular in America. We have two farmer’s markets in Springfield and westspringfield. We sell to underrepresented communities to help them have easy access to healthy foods.
