Believe it or not, this week is our 10th Tuesday Market of the season! With the first third of the season under our belts, we head into the heart of the season.
Summer crops are flooding into the market!
Along with our regulars, this Tuesday we welcome our bi-weekly vendors Hosta Hill with ferments and Botanica with bitters and more.
New this week is Revival Homestead Supply, a family-run business offering supplies and education for DIY-ers and natural products for the body & home. Handmade soaps, body products, cultures for fermenting, and DIY project kits.
We also welcome back Beaumont’s Berries with delicious sweetened and unsweetened jam. Stop by to try a taste!
All that plus flute and guitar duo, Song of the Lark will be playing their beautiful music throughout the afternoon!
HIP arrives at Tuesday Market this week!
HIP is a three-year program which will match SNAP recipients’ purchases of local fruits and vegetables at participating farmers’ markets, mobile markets, farms stands, and CSAs. The HIP benefit will provide $40-$80 per month to SNAP users, depending on household size. Customers can learn more about this exciting new local food benefit by stopping by the purple market tent at Tuesday Market or by clicking HERE. Find local farms and farmers’ arkets where you can currently use HIP on the MassGrown Website (actively being updated).
Crabapple Farm is our first farm to be able to process HIP purchases. Visit them for early summer produce, dried beans and plant starts that are HIP eligible!
Caroline will teach the group some garden songs, read a story or two, and lead a short exploration of the community gardens. This workshop is free & open to children of all ages, although it will be aimed towards kids under 10.
Check out this picture of a bee swarm that Dick Connor of Red Barn Honey shared with us!
