Tuesday Market is OPEN on 4th of July!

Yes, it’s true, Tuesday Market is OPEN on the 4th of July! Spread the love- invite a friend or loved one who usually has work or other obligations on Tuesdays. Share the magic!

The market will be bursting with food, to eat right then or to bring home for a holiday feast. We’ll even have free face painting at the market tent and Aaron Cooper playing high energy, toe-tappin’ folk and classic covers throughout the afternoon.

You know it’s summer when fruit can be found at all corners of the market. We’re excited to welcome back Park Hill Orchard this week! They’ll have lots of raspberries, sour cherries and a few early blueberries. You’ll also find strawberries, gooseberries and currants around the market.
Upgrade your barbecue- Tart will have brioche hot dog and burger buns this week! These buttery buns are only made on special occasions and they will sell out so get there early. You’ll be glad you did!
Be sure to stop by and sample Justamere Tree Farm’s sweet and savory Maple Seasoning. Especially delicious to top your avocado sandwich! Also sprinkle or rub onto pork, beef, chicken, fish, popcorn, eggs, potato salad, roasted vegetables, kale chips and much more. While you’re there, check out cinnamon maple sugar, maple walnuts, maple pecans, maple sweetened granola, luscious maple cream and also artisan wood fired maple syrup!
Check out the Sweet Birch Herbals tent for locally grown and distilled essential oils! This week they have Lemon Balm, Lemon Verbena, Ginger (from Old Friends Farm), Rosemary, Sage, and Lemongrass. If you want to learn more about essential oil making and uses, Hannah is offering a workshop at Full Kettle Farm with a live demo of distilling Lemon Balm on Sunday, July 16th. For details go to sweetbirchherbals.com.

HIP has arrived at Tuesday Market!
HIP is a three-year program which will match SNAP recipients’ purchases of local fruits and vegetables at participating farmers’ markets, mobile markets, farms stands, and CSAs. The HIP benefit will provide $40-$80 per month to SNAP users, depending on household size. Customers can learn more about this exciting new local food benefit by stopping by the purple market tent at Tuesday Market or by clicking HERE. Find local farms and farmers’ arkets where you can currently use HIP on the MassGrown Website (actively being updated).
Crabapple Farm is our first farm to be able to process HIP purchases. Visit them for early summer produce, dried beans and plant starts that are HIP eligible!
