Tuesday Market- October 2, 2018

Despite the fact that the weather hasn’t been on our side, Tuesday Market continues on! Our farmers have shown us what being committed and hard-working means while setting up in the rain and continuing to smile while they do it. Rain boots, coats and pants, tent sides and hot tea have been in full effect! Though it looks like we will have a chance of rain this week too, we hope it doesn’t keep you away!

This week’s specialty pizza at Laughing Tomato will be: Kimchi BBQ’D Pulled Pork (roasted garlic spread, hickory smoked pulled pork, Korean style bbq’d sauce, hoisin sauce, mozzarella and topped with cilantro and Hosta Hill Kimchi.

See you at market!

Berkshore Fish will be back to the market this week after a short absence due to the stormy Tuesdays and high fish prices as a result of Hurricane Florence. Grab the freshest fish you can find in the valley for a perfect market dinner!
Get your tickets now to the Northampton Rotary Club’s Chowder and Wine Festival! Proceeds will be donated to Grow Food Northampton!
The Very Hungry Caterpillar is turning 50 and the Eric Carle Museum is celebrating! They’ll be visiting the market with a bookmark-making activity, tattoos and stickers to give away, and books available for families to read!
Rain date: October 9th
Kestrel Land Trust’s 10th Annual 5K for Farmland & Farmers’ Market Festival will take place on Sunday, October 21, on the historic Hadley Common, with a running route through scenic farmlands along the Connecticut River! They will be joining us at Tuesday Market to promote the event, so be sure to stop by for a chance to win a free registration! They will also have a farmers’ market scavenger hunt for kids with small prizes.
