Tuesday Market- October 9, 2018

Like a butterfly emerging from a chrysalis, Tuesday Market will return to glory this week after a rough patch of weather. Sometimes we can take the good weather for granted when we have weeks in a row with sunshine, good music playing and crowds of people filling the plaza. After the last few weeks, we are all so ready for a nice (dry) weather day, a full vendor line-up and lots of fun extras!
Come for the best selection of local food that can be found in the Valley! Stay for music by music by strings duo Kingfisher: Swansea Benham Bleicher and Jonathan Leonard starting around 2pm. There’ll be lots of fun for the kids this week with a visit from the Eric Carle Museum at 3:30 (read more below) and a fun scavenger hunt for kids at the Kestrel Land Trust booth (more below)!
You can sample some Boston Smoked Bluefish pate spread at Berkshore this week, Old Friends Farm is harvesting turmeric now, wild mushrooms are pouring in and Crooked Stick Pops are back with a stock up sale- 10 pops and an insulated tote for $30!
It’s going to be a packed house! Come and be part of the magic!

A great variety of fruit can be found around the market and all fruit can be purchased using HIP!
Get your tickets now to the Northampton Rotary Club’s Chowder and Wine Festival! Proceeds will be donated to Grow Food Northampton!
The Very Hungry Caterpillar is turning 50 and the Eric Carle Museum is celebrating! They’ll be visiting the market with a bookmark-making activity, tattoos and stickers to give away, and books available for families to read!
Kestrel Land Trust will be visiting the market again this week to promote their 10th Annual 5K for Farmland & Farmers’ Market Festival coming up on Sunday, October 21, on the historic Hadley Common, with a running route through scenic farmlands along the Connecticut River! Stop by to learn more, to enter to win a registration for the run, and to try a farmers’ market scavenger hunt for kids with small prizes!
