Tuesday Market- September 25, 2018

Happy Fall! Last week we dodged the dreaded hurricane remnants…The sky turned blue with just the tiniest rainbow just after the market opened. This week, We might not be so lucky! Though it looks like rain for most of the afternoon, the market will still be packed with fruits (so much fruit right now!), vegetables, cheese, mushrooms, flowers, meat and so much more!
As always, we will give you an extra stamp on your Tuesday Market Loyalty Card for coming out in the rain. Six stamps gets you entered to win $20 in tokens each month. We will be choosing a winner at the end of this week’s market and two more before the season is complete on November 13th.
See you at market!

Grace Hill Farm’s whey-fed, heritage breed pork is back! Their pigs were raised on the farm eating lots and lots of our whey, organic local grain, and cheese, fruit, and veggie scraps, and if you haven’t tried whey-fed pork before, you’re in for a treat- the meat is so succulent and tender.  Bacon, sausage, pork chops and more available at the market!
Tomatoes are still holding strong at the market. Enjoy the last of these summer treats now! It’s also a great time to preserve some for winter. From canning to freezing to dehydrating and fermenting, check out this article with 40 ways to preserve tomatoes!
Our Bag Share has gotten very popular this year! While we’re happy to offer a bag to anyone who needs one, most don’t find their way back to the market. If you have any of our bags, please return them and if you have any other reusable bags collecting dust, we would happily take them to add to our bag stash!
