Valley Grows Day is May 19, 2021!
Food access and farm organizations across Western Massachusetts have worked rapidly and tirelessly to respond to the rising rates of food insecurity due to the lasting impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many members of our communities are disproportionately impacted by food insecurity, particularly those who have always struggled economically, and people of color. Show your support for farming and food justice in Western Massachusetts by donating to local farming and food justice organizations working to ensure that the food we grow here reaches those most in need now!
Valley Grows Day is a collective effort among small, community-based nonprofits throughout Western Massachusetts that are working to grow just and sustainable food systems for our communities. Wednesday, May 19th marks Valley Grows Day 2021, a day of giving and unity.

Across the diverse communities in our region, these organizations expand access to healthy local food for everyone, and create opportunities for the next generation of urban and rural farmers. But this critical food access work can only happen with your support, and Valley Grows Day is especially vital in 2021 as we move from pivoting to persisting in the work of building food justice in our communities! Now, more than ever, farming gives our Valley strength, and justice makes it stronger. Even in the most difficult times, our Valley can thrive because our Valley Grows!
