What’s Fresh at Market on 5/24!

Hello Tuesday Market People!

Strawberries are just around the corner! Literally! At market, at the Old Friends Farm stand.  Stop by and breathe deeply the sweet sweet sweet strawberry smell and treat yourself to the sweet strawberry taste of May!  Old Friends Farm will also have a great line-up of salad greens, and the lilies are blooming too!

Sawmill Herb Farm will be bringing nettles to market this week. Sawmill has a busy week with two workshops at their farm, both taught by Bill Siff of Goldthread Apothecary: Ayurveda on Thursday 6-7:30pm and a Plant Walk on Saturday 1-2:30pm. Open to the public. More details are on their website.

Hosta Hill will be at market tomorrow and every other week throughout the season. Stop by to sample some of their delicious ferments. And check out this great write-up in the Boston Globe about their products.

We’re excited to welcome Free Ramblin’ Kids with handmade children’s toys and slippers. Get a preview of what to expect at market here.

Crimson and Clover Farm will join us tomorrow and for the remainder of the season. Tomorrow they’ll have many types of fresh greens. Stop back to see them every week as they harvest more and more varieties of vegetables.

Help us to spread the word about the SNAP and Save Program which is allowing us to match $10 in SNAP money each week. That means that SNAP customers get $20 for their $10 withdrawal of SNAP benefits each week at the market (Thanks you CISA and Healthy Hampshire!). SNAP tokens can be used for anything SNAP eligible, including meat, fruits, vegetables, honey, maple, cheese, bread, granola and plant starts.  Stop by the purple market tent to learn more.

All that and so much more tomorrow!
