Winter Walk with Ted Watt – January 28th, 1pm-3pm
Winter Walk at Northampton Community Farm
January 28th, 1pm-3pm
Have you been wondering what there is to see in the woods in the wintertime? Are you itching to go out and explore? Do you want to know what to make of different animal tracks and traces you’ve
found?
Join Ted Watt of the Hitchcock Center for a winter nature walk on Northampton Community Farmland. We will look for signs of the season, find tracks in the snow and mud, identify trees and
shrubs, and learn about natural history and invasive plant ecology as we walk through the winter landscape.
Ted Watt is a highly skilled naturalist and educator at the Hitchcock Center for the Environment who helps children and adults understand the unique habitats and ecosystems of New England through hands-on instruction and mentorship.
The event is held in partnership with the Mill River Greenway Initiative.
